The change log databases can be turned off by changing the setting in the
Common Storage table.
If you want to turn off change logs:
- Right click CW Admin (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\CAREWare\RW CAREWare Business Tier\CW Admin)
- Click Run as Administrator
- Click Stop Server
- Click the Common Storage Settings tab
- Change the logChanges setting in the cmm_st_number column to 1.
- Click on another cell in another row to save the change
- Click Server Settings
- Click Start Server
No more change logs will be created. Changes will be tracked in the CW_Data database, in the cw_change_history table, instead of in separate change logs and will be accessible through the
User Action Report.
As of build 870, change logs are no longer created as separate databases. Changes to CAREWare will still be saved in the cw_change_history table. To maintain the changes stored in those change logs, archive those databases by following the instructions
here.
